I wear heavy thinsulate gloves for the boat ride, then use glove liners, the white ones you can get at home depot for 6 bucks a dozen. They fit tight enough to cast and warm enough to just fish in those. They worked ok fishing up north where it gets much colder. Just throw them in the washer when you get home.

Thanks BigLeslie, I was in Academy and purchased the gloves you described in your post. Seems to me these gloves have all the right stuff to keep the hands warm on plane as well as being very functional fishing gloves. (80 gram Thinsulate insulation, mitten to glove switch, magnetic closure, interior heater pack pocket)

I have done the Cotton Gloves and switched ever so often, works pretty well but still gets pretty cold... I wonder how someone hasn't came up with a pair that would work great for fisherman.

Tape some of the hand warmers to your wrist, keeps the blood warm going to you finger tips... JAT

I have been using fingerless Glacier Gloves from BPS the last two years. I have looked and looked for some similar gloves that leave your two smallest fingers covered but I have had no luck. I don't use them for grabbing or tying, so I want them covered.I bought a pair of liners at Academy and cut the thumb, first and second finger back and left the others. I will check them out this weekend to see if they last.
Be safe, Rayzor ![[Linked Image]](http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp267/JLedbetter/th_Boatpics036.jpg) 2001 Triton Tx-21/225 Mercury EFI

To Ronny Farquhar, Which Academy gloves are you referring to? Is there a name? Thanks.
