Is it possible that most of the Sandys & Hybrids
are way up north in the trees - north of the
Villages due to the recent rains ? Wasn't much
going on this evening south of the 155 bridge.

Almost two weeks and no fish submitted....bluebird days aren't good for hybrids. I'm hearing that the weather has changed some around Lake Pal so maybe things will pick up again. I should be back up there in a week or so. Good luck catchin!

Two over 24 inches, you should have put them on the board.

I was with my stepson, and wanted to hook him up, so I made the decision to let him keep fishing while I got the rattletrap out of my finger...lol and ouch... I figure that the big girls will show soon and often...I need a longer board too....

Academy in Tyler has the longer Check It boards Steve, at least they did when I was in there a week ago yesterday. I think they are $17 or so for the 38" board.

Finally got out on the lake today and was lucky enough to locate a few sand bass and small Hybrids. Also the wife and I caught 1 each nice hybrid, Gayle H. 19 3/4" and myself 20 3/4". All fish caught on crank baits near the Brookshire's area. Got to see and talk with my good friend MartyK8, always good to see friends on the lake.

Nice afternoon on the water, had some topwater activity,
some on the jiggn spoon topped with flies by night,
One double with twin 4 lb hybrids , that was fun

Found fish in front of brookshires, shady brook and
the west side.

Saw Marty , Gres, and CurlyDawg, maybe they caught some
bigger fish.

biggest hybrid was no monster but did take a pic

good luck

It was a fun time out there today, once the wind died down the topwater action cut off.

I never I never saw the surface action. I had just fished that area, and went down to Cobbs inlet to fish awhile. I hooked into a good one, but he got off before I could see him. That was my only bite all day. I had to get off early, so I let around 3:00pm. Maybe next time.
