Well, I may stand corrected. Most are though.

I agree, any boat is going to get you a little wet in wind and rough water. My buddy Varner has a Sea Pro and we got a little wet in wind and waves. Samething goes for JD's boat, which is a 28' Outback, but the wind has to be hitting 20+ and the waves are rolling at 4'+. It's not saying anything bad, it's just the way it is. However, some boats are much worse than others, due to hull and gunnel design.

Agreed, wasnt trying to cause any flack, just was my opinion. I have a couple times got sprayed with the wind. But usually if it gets that rough i really dont need to be out there anyway.

I have 2230 baystealth with a yamaha 200, did a lot of research before I bought one. Great boat, great ride, one mean fishing machine, very happy 8 years running.

I have a 22' Bluewave Striper with a 150HP motor which will push the boat to about 47mph. And it handles well with 4-6 people in the boat.

I would definitely go with more horsepower. Underhorsepowering a heavy boat will wear out a motor in a heartbeat. It also puts more strain on the transom from being under a load for a longer time while planing out. Over time, both will contribute to wear on your rig.
