I have had great luck in the trees throwing a sexy shad. Usually get at least three 5 lbs or better each trip. Hope the weather breaks soon and gets the fish moving again.

Back a few years ago we got stopped by the GWs there and my buddy had left his wallet in his Suburban at the Ramp (we were in his 22' Champion) and the GWs made us go back to the ramp and they would not let him go to his truck, they made me go to the truck and retrieve his wallet and license. Never have figured that one out.

If they let him leave and he doesn't come back then they have no violator?

Fishpanker. You lost me. In the 30 years I have fished Fayette I have never had my whole boat gone through. Maybe they were looking through their binoc`s and had seen something or maybe they had been tagged before. Who knows but My question is if they did the same thing to other boats I agree ,but if they only chose them ,that`s wrong.

Now that's what I call a tip. I've messed around the trees, but never really tried a Sexy Shad. I usually just throw plastics around them trees and occasionally will throw a swimbait, but never venture to throw some cranks around those sticks. I'll make sure to give that a try.

I was detained for 20 minutes while I was simply trying to load my boat at the ramp.
I had all of my requirements: safety equipment, license, boat tags etc. , yet he still felt the need to make me open every compartment in the boat and then wait while he ran my registration.

WOW thanks for the reminder no argument just saying.

I can not believe all of the crying about the game wardens on this thread. They are just doing their job all you have to do is follow the rules then there are no worries. Just think how are fishing would be with out them.Personally I would like to see one at every lake then these people that take fish that are illegal would be busted.
