i work for tracker marine and i instal alot of these. yes thay are all slow to hit ,once the hit the satillite they they work faster but the initial hit can take 4 or 5 minutues .all side image loses bottom after 15 or so mph. even lowrance. the transducer slices instaed of projected pings or echos.

look in your bible installation guide it will tell u about losing the bottom

Thanks Skeetereater. All is good on SI. I only use it and down imaging at slow speeds. I had to take it back in the shop at first cause my high speed depth readout on my unit wasnt working at first. It was the wrong cable. It would zero out after I got on plane. All A ok with it now. thanks again
