Horrible to hear Pete,
I hope the Champ isn't as bad as you made it sound.
The cut through to Ranger is about 15 minutes longer, but it sounds like it may be worth while.

Johnsons Fiberglass in Burleson does a great job and is less expensive.

I haven't got to really inspect it yet but by just running my hand down the hull it felt just like a cowbell cheese grater!!! Even the handle on my Jack is eaten away. It's sickening that I take very good care o my boat and something like this happens.

I took my new boat on its first fishing trip Saturday and went through the same thing! It was spotless when we left. I was mad about the rocks in the boat and layer of dirt, but didn't even think to look for chips... It is in storage now and I don't think I want to go check. First trip in my first new boat! Frustrating. I took the long way home too.

I will probably not do any good, but I have been on the TxDot web site sending complaints to who ever will listen. Our club had several boats damaged. It was bad enough with the trailer being damaged, but the whole entire underside of the boat has hundreds of nicks throughout the gel coat.

Tx Dot said to go to brannanpaving.com and notify them of the damage to your boat. They are doing the same as well. any of the White Settlement club guys that was there as anyone else please contact the Brannan Paiving Co and swamp them with complaints. we need to ban together on this and put as much pressure as we can.
Thanks

TTT,
I know there are dozens of boats that go through this area everyday, and they need to know about it, especially if its causing some serious damage.
