they dont straighten the hooks i use, those Oldham jigs have a stout hook in them and if i flip a plastic i use a BMF

I cant believe that mozt of you are saying Owner. I have had very very bad experoences with Owner. Use a Gamakatsu Superline EWG and I promise that you will never lose another fish due to the hook straightening out.

owner does make a really good hook if you get one of the heavier wired hooks or you use their finesse hooks, i like the RI BMF which is made by Gamakatsu

Go to Paycheck baits and check out their Punch Hook. This is a heavy duty flippin hook made for them by Gammy AND a very good feature is that it has a welded eye.
