I also agree with the owner. I have never bent one.

Operator error. Shoulda hit your free spool. FZ1 has never had a hook straighten. FZ1's tackle is perfectly matched. Your hook,line,rod,and drag setting,must be complementary.

Owner all the way but I am also hearing good things about Trokar, havent tried them yet, because I've been so happy with owner

well your problem was that you were using a mustad hook. id almost rather use eagle claw...

No,man. I just don't make many errors. You gotta sense when there is too much pressure on your rig and adjust your drag or hit your free spool.

Ya, I should have let her wear-out more, but I have never had a fish like that on and don't want to lose another one. But like I said, she was stripping drag and as far as my set up, it doesn't get much better (in my opinion) Revo Premier, Hendrix Custom Rod and Suffix braid.

Tru turn makes a good hook as well. They put them in military survival kits.

Yeah,but you gotta have a heavy wire hook with that braid,or they will straighten the hook out. Lol.
