Typically I have my personal Chopper pick me up and fly me to fork for convenience.
If that falls thru, then I take tommyc's route. Im used to the speed traps in quinlan/tawakoni since I live near by, and always watch my speed.

I'll take 80 off of 30 in Mesquite sometimes and go through Terrell. Not a bad way to go and I have yet to hit any traffic or have any issues that way.

I always go 635 to 30 and were 30 goes down to two lanes exit there cant think of the street number then 276 to Emory and 69 threw Emory to 515 and then if you can find the lake on that road dont know what to tell you. I know there is away off 30 around Caddo Mills to go some back ways but not sure of the names of the roads.

i go down 276 (goes by Rockwall Marine, where you can get your engine oil!) to emory. stoop by Lake FOrk Tackle, then continue on to Lake FOrk Marina and harass Cameron!

Tommy that is definitely the shortest route-per miles wise..
There are two simple routes 30-69-515 & 20-19-69-515 The 30 route has to deal with downtown and the 635 exchange, if it's after 3:00pm I avoid that. I live in Arlington near Lake Arlington so I mainly take the 20 route. It's been the most hassle free for years now, just hit the cruise control and get off at Canton hwy 19.
BINGO!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I am looking for the fastest not the shortest route. I've done the short routes and going into little towns and changing speed all the time is a waste to me.
I'd like to get there quickly and avoid small towns.

Go I20 to 19 in Canton. Take 19 North to Emory. Take a right on 69. Lake Fork Tackle is at the next intersection on the right. Left at that intersection will take you to the lake.
