Even learn to back a trailer. I know about 20 or 30 guys on Grapevine that needs to visit it.

truckgal, cudos to you on wanting to learn so you can enjoy the sport of bass fishing with your husband.
Along with practicing casting in the back yard I would seak out a close local pond and fish it as much as you can. If your able to put a good two months of fishing atleast a few times a week you will notice your fishing skills greatly increasing. Make sure the pond has a good catch rate.
Utilize the web and do alot of reading when your not at the pond.
Entering the third month you could plan a trip with your husband and surprise the heck out of him.
