We sent all of ours back yesterday. All seats have been sent back to the DC so now one else has to go through this. Glad you are okay and academy treated you right.

I didn`t see your previous post. Sounds like the same seats I have. My brother in law was setting in one leaned back. I saw that it was fixing to collaps and told him not to lean back in it. It was a long drive, (140 miles)for me so I reinforced the bottoms with 3/4 marine plywood, works great now. they hold my 240# body up for all night fishing trips regularly.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I was in academy today to return a reel that just did not sit right in my hand. The original attendant said " do you have the box or anything?" I said no. He said well there is not much I can do. I said I have never had a problem returning anything here. He said let me call the manager over. The manager walked over and said " sure we can do that...anything he wants" in those exact words. I will never pruchase another product academy carries anywhere else period.

From Academy:

Armando:

Thanks for sending this to me and glad we could assist, and no we will not put the same seats back on the shelf...we will redesign the seats or replace them with another brand.

Iron, I agree completely with you. It is kinda like buying craftsmen tools at sears; they may cost a little more, but you know they have your back if anything goes wrong.

Hey

Someone forgot to tell the folks at Academy on Forest and Central in Dallas to take those seats off the shelf. There was a bunch of them on the shelves this morning.

I try to go by one of the Academy Stores whenever I am in the Dallas Area (I live in Sherman). I have purchased a few items there and had to return some of them because they didn't last. I have never been asked if I still had the receipt even though I had receipts in each case. They have never hesitated to give my an exchange for the merchandise or a cash refund.

We are due to have a new Academy Strore opening in Sherman next fall and it will really be appreciated. I plan on getting most or all of my fishing equipment there.
