Would like to see a picture of one. I heard about a black nose today for first time..Said it had a stripe from head to tail. Not sure?

They are just black crappie with a genetic color flaw...not a hybrid or anything.

I seem to catch about 1 out of 20 that way on Fork. I have referred to those for years as racing stripe crappie.

Hubbard is loaded with some real big black striped crappie. I see a few on Lavon now and then. But, I've caught some monsters on Hubbard. Lavon is only just now starting to produce some keeper black crappie.
Cedar creek has more of the striped ones than either of those two.
