They are some great coolers my oldman has one and he uses it to stand on for sight fishing.

A life time of cheap coolers and ice is well over the asking price of a Yeti. I do not own one, but its on my short list. I use a cooler ALOT.

9 guys on the trip and eggs, bacon, half and half, steaks....the works were packed in the cooler with 3 bags of ice.

Out of the 24 sets of rapids we shot...the canoe with the YETI turned over at least 6 times. Each time the Yeti cooler would bang it self over rocks, limbs, etc and it never opened and always survived.

On the last day of the trip, we still had 3 bags of ice.

So, depedinng on what your needs are the Yeti cooler is worth every penny.

That's a pretty good testimonial. 5 days on 3 bags and still have ice left over is pretty damm good in my book.

On the way back from the deer lease a buddy found one that had fallen out of the back of someones truck, boy was he shocked when he found out how much their worth, bet the other guy was sick. I guess theres a market for high end coolers cause yeti's not the only company to produce them in that price range, I don't understand it.

Well worth the money! Try one or ask someone who owns one. Like many other things in this world....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

For sure. Kind of like the guys on the hunting forum that want a "cheap scope" to put on a 300win mag. I know I have spent well over $450 on cheap coolers and ice.

I usually get the top shelf stuff but I cannot justify 450.00 for a cooler, hell you can buy a refrigerator for that price, I am sure if you were going to spend a week in the desert they would come in handy, I would be afraid to leave one in the back of the truck any time I stopped for anything.

They used to have a good deal for guides, about 40% off retail if I remember right.
I need to check on that again and get me one!

I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.

These things are awesome! I have two, the medium size and the small one. Once you get them cool you don't have to worry about ice melting for sometime. I love mine! Both were gifts by the way and I think I pee'd a little when they gave me the medium sized one! I was not expecting it! I love it, but never loan it out or let anyone see them.

My coolers get too dirty with blood, fish slime, and grease off meat when I use them for caters. I could not use a $450 cooler that way...

Yeti coolers like Rolex and Mercedes have been Round for a long time and justified their place in the market by their continued existance. When I switched to pure kayak fishing , I converted back to lightweight Igloos and they are adequate for day trips, but not even near the same league for pure performance.

They are not a good fit for everyone, but just like the S. I. swimsuits issue girls, 200mph Italian sportscars and $650 bass rods,,, it is nice just to know they exist and someone must still be able to afford them.
