Had to run to BP in Grapevine this afternoon for a new trolling motor plug and when in BP I can't just get what I need and hit the door So I went back to the fishing department and in the main isle were these YEIT Ice Chests. The little one was $250.00 shocked and the big one $450.00 rolfmao rolfmao I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Yes they are built like a brick house, but come on!
That's right folks an ice chest for 450.00!!
I'd get laughted off the boat ramp if I paid 450.00 for an ice chest. I'm sure they have a place but where??
Igloo and Coleman have nothing to worry about from these guys. wink

Got a buddy that has one. Go on an extended camping trip away from civilization and it will be well worth the money.

Pondbass,
I lived in Wyoming for 5 years and anything I saw bear proof wasn't made out of plastic.
I believe any bear could open one of thoes things up in its sleep.

In the offshore world they are common but lures were $30 to $50 each and we rarely burned less than 100 gallons of fuel on a trip. I guess looking at those numbers, it fits in well offshore. After 15 years of serious offshore, I am glad I am in North Texas now and can fish for pennies on the dollar. Crappie may not be as hard fighting or agressive but they eat just as good and cost a lot less.

We also use them for extended trips offshore and they were worth it when you are floating 120 miles from land for 3 days.

FG,
You are right I can see the need for extended offshore fishing when it costs a lot of money to just leave the dock, but a couple of dozen Crappie or Catfish from a local lake might be too much.
If I had one I couldn't leave it in the back of the truck for easy pickins. smile

Well,

Totally depends on what your needs are. I returned last night from a 5 day Canoe trip down the Devils River. Yes, 5 DAYS away from civiliation..slept on the river bed - AWESOME time. Along with us was a YETI cooler, and boy was I glad it was with us! Is it worth $450...ABSOLUTlEY!

9 guys on the trip and eggs, bacon, half and half, steaks....the works were packed in the cooler with 3 bags of ice.

Out of the 24 sets of rapids we shot...the canoe with the YETI turned over at least 6 times. Each time the Yeti cooler would bang it self over rocks, limbs, etc and it never opened and always survived.

On the last day of the trip, we still had 3 bags of ice.

So, depedinng on what your needs are the Yeti cooler is worth every penny.

I got the 45Q for all my groomsmen and now they are believers, they used to say they would never pay that much for a cooler but now they have changed their minds. Couple of them have already gotten them in other sizes.
