Match your bait to the bass's food source. And remember slow retrive, concentrate on your presentation, and work the water column. Watermelon/red or watermelon/chartreus ring worms and lizzards work for me down here in the tropical ponds I fish.

Take Brooke out to dinner and come back when it warms up. Use finesse techniques if she turns you down.

really, the best thing you can do is slow down. especially if this lake gets alot of pressure, you need to slow down more than anyone else. small profile baits like a senko combined with a shakeehead jig will work wonders. just twitch and vibrate.

I'd throw the senko. Anytime I start fishing a hole and am looking for the bite i throw out a finess senko and almost always hook up. I'd also try the areas around where the brook feeds into the pond.

the venerable jig/pig combo. Black/blue would be my poison ofchoice! If that don't get em started in cold water, then there aren't any fish left in there! The ice fishermen got em all!

Jig and pig is the best COLD WATER bass lure ever made. will outfish any and everything short of live bait.

I'd wait till August when the water temp might hit 60*. LOL Any way how I did it in IL when i was working up there was a 3/4 oz black and blue spinner bait find the deepest part of the tank and drag it on the bottom if there any bass that well get a reaction.

SLOW WAY DOWN! If you think you're fishing slow enough, slow down some more!

Man your water temp has to be in the low 40s... we are just now hitting mid 40s and high 40s in kansas... the fish are not going to want to feed, in other words you have to make them feed by putting something in front of their face and being paitent... go buy a megabass vision 110 or two, throw it out then give it 2 or 3 good jerks and count to 30 seconds then jerk it agian, also add a suspend dot to the rear end of it... and the senko is another good bait ... throw it out and let it sink to the bottom... count to 15 and reel it in and cast it back out.... the water temp is killing the bite right now.
