That's all I've heard on the Vine lately. Is that up past the 377 bridge? hmmm

yes Bama..you have to walk about a mile up from 377 to get there. It's a tough walk if you carry a lot stuff. You can fill your stringer quick if they're biting. I wouldn't try to take your boat upriver that far, though some people have...lol

I was going to take my 5 year old out today, is that walk to much or should I just see how far up i can get in a boat? It's been years since i've been in the creek in a boat.

Tough call. Even the hike down to below the bridge is a little tricky if I remember right. You might just launch at Marshall/Trophy Club park and putt up the creek as far as you can go. Good luck and get that boy on some fish. thumb

Hey Peter...it might be. If your heading north on 377 from ft worth, exit into the first dirt parking area on the left before you cross denton creek. walk over the train tracks and follow the trail. It will take you to it, but the walk is closer to 1 1/2 mile. If you carry a lot of stuff & he has to carry something as well, you may want to stay near the bridge. just my two cents

I’ve not been up there yet, I have a one man pontoon and will be out there next week. I would think if the lake is up causing so many of the lake ramps to close then the creek should be way up. I have seen some post lately where some guys have gone past 377 and yes there is a old concrete dam up there but it should be submerged. Just take it slow and watch you sonar.
