Headed out there for the day on Saturday. Going to be tough, but just wanted to get ya'lls opinion on where should we try. Usually go in March and fish Little Mustang and do good. So, what do ya think?

Do a search and you will find a few posts asking this same thing. Here is one of them. Bring your patience and hope for the best because it`s not going to be a lot of fun.

I'm headed down Friday for the weekend as well. From what I have been gathering: A) It's probably gonna' suck.(don't care I'm still goin') B)Red rattle baits/Chart-white spinnerbaits/Suspending jerkbaits (gotta have a jig on for good measure) C) North end of the lake for the warmest water we can find.

Overall, I'm hoping we'll stumble on something exciting with some good ol' fashion dumb luck! Best of it to ya'.

Wish I had good news for you. Just got back from three days of getting my butt handed to me. Conditions were terrible. NW winds, high pressure, flood gates open and low forties water temp. It was a beat down to say the least. Warmering up into the sixties this week might help out some. Good luck to you.

I got friends there now that are doing terrible. Funny how you can't find a current report from a guide on fork now. Far as I can tell no one is doing any good. Hope it improves, and I am sure it will, by mid March when I come down.

never bad idea to go fishing on fork if you can go.... bad weather/cold water or not. all it takes is one and the pursuit of just one is greatness

We just got back from Fork. Fished 3 days without a bite between the 3 of us. Cold and windy with water temps in the low 40's. Threw traps, jigs, and jerk baits. Of coarse the weather looks like it is going to improve. You might get bit this weekend. We are going back the second week of March, hopefully with different results. Good luck to ya!!

Fork is notorious for coming on just all the sudden. I'd go and keep humping it. You can load up on a big one on any cast. Picking an area of the lake is tough right now. Just remember this time of year you can be off just a little bit and you might as well be a mile away. Be methodical and go slow.
