Was a fun tournament and enjoyed it gentleman. You northern boys put a whoopin on us. That lake will drive you crazy, thirty minutes 70# in two fish on Friday, seven cold hours 70# in FIVE on saturday. Not sure who paid Steve Nelson to block us but it worked ...probably Chase . Good times Ken, well done, thanks! Anyone else tickled to cull a 5 for a 7 on Saturday??

I stopped in the hole I wanted fish on Friday and within 8 minutes we had boated a 42 and then hooked up with a 50+ in the next 6 minutes. We got outta there to save it for the next day. THose 2 fish were better than our total weight for an entire days fishing in the same place, although I missed the giant of the day that woul dhave changed that. 28 or so was the biggest we nabbed. Todd's 55 was just on the other side of us so the big fish were there off and on... We had a 4 or 5 pounder that we wanted badly to get rid of and just couldn't do it.

But we think they have a tracking device on his boat. Every time we got on fish here they come. The five fish were 62,58,48,and two 35's that's 238 pounds of fish.

Kerry had a box anchor that kept letting loose. After several times of the anchor coming un buckled, decided to try to get out of wind. Fished deep, shallow, and everywhere in between. To no avail Although we ( BAMAboy and I ) didnt weigh anything in, the trip was worth it, just to put some faces with the screen names here. Lots of down to earth nice people. Great tourny and great people, Catching fish would have been just a bonus. Although i did get to try my new proangler rods out though. Great pieces of equipment, although i didnt have to test them that bad The shad i was using(before i cut it) was about the same size as the cat i caught. Its called "fishing" not "catching" for a reason, i guess.

Thanks for another great tourney Ken. As usual the gathering was alot of fun and it was nice meeting everyone and putting faces with names. Stupid a$$ weather man was wrong again and it sure was fun being anchored out in the middle of the lake with 3-4 foot rollers maybe even bigger but I got to say I love that SeaPro, never once took one over the bow and never got wet. Only reason we were able to stay anchored was because it hung in a tree that I nearly broke my back trying to get it out. Turns out my honey hole didn't produce like it has been during prefishing time and we should have gone shallow from the get go. As soon as we got shallow within the first 15 minutes and before I could get my last 2 poles baited and out I'm netting a 41 pounder for my partner and shortly after that we get a 31 pounder and lose one that we knew for a fact was bigger then that 41. Oh well, you live and learn and that's why they call it fishing. These tourneys are always fun and I enjoy everyone's company that come out and fish these; great group of guys and we always have a good time. See ya'll at Eagle Mountain!

GRRRRR, we pulled that 50 out of that hole the day before and the morning of the tourney it produced nothing so we were going back in the afternoon when it heated up a bit...and there you guys were lol. We were 100 yards from you guys catching fish in the teens while you guys are slamming the monsters. I had never met Steve before that day and no idea that was him we stopped to talk to on the way out. Once I found out I knew that my homework was right but the timing was allllllll wrong. Congrats on your day of fishing with Steve, cant get much better than that.
