I caught a 3 foot snake on a crank bait bumpin the bottom in about 12 feet of water....he was on the bottom. Makes me think twice about swimmin in the lake

While wade fishing for smallmouth in a river in Ohio, my little jig got hung and when I dragged it to me, it was 3 sticks of dynamite wrapped in duct tape and tied to a rock. That gave me the willies. I sat it on the bank and went my own way. Also one time in Ohio, I was throwin a T.rig to the bank and a big old Buck come out from under this tree that was layin on the bank. I didnt have him hooked but I hit him with it for sure. True story.

I catch hell from my wife all the time when Im fishing.

I caught a crankbait that I had lost about two months prior

My guess the bat was at night,,,,, made a cast and the bat got it before it hit the water? When we were kids we used to put rocks in old tube socks and throw them as high as we could under a street light, the bats would chase them all the way to the ground. This was, of course, before even Pac-man, let alone nintendo.

You are only the second person I have ever heard of that got an Owl on a topwater.

I had a Great Horned Owl take a Buzzbait off the water at Richland Chambers one night. I ducked and it went right over my head... luckily it let go right after I let go of the rod and did not get hooked.

I was fishing off the boat ramp so the rod went behind me and landed in the RV park. He took the rod/reel about 50ft past me...

I hit a Bat casting on Bob Sandlin on night... knocked it out cold. After quivering on the water it got up and flew away a few seconds later.

One of the strangest was a Rock Bess that hit a jig inside of a
Chicken wire bait trap..
I pulled up the trap and Rock-bass to get my bait back. San Miguel on the Louisiana Side of Toledo Bend.

Hooked and landed a Tow Sack full of dead Rattle Snakes in Kennedale fishing in a creek on a Boy Scout camp-out. Man did that ever stink!

Lawn chairs, Muscle Shells, Minnow traps, Rod and Reels and Anchor chains put up a good fight too.

I've caught my sister, several shirts,rod/reel,probably 8-10 rocks,turtles,a coot,had a bittern chasing my worm across the matted grass (I pulled it away from him), frogs,trolling motor,snake,and probably the wierdest thing even though it's a fish is a bowfin. Those things are wierd.

Snapping Turtle, a Brown Bat while night fishing (wings wrapped around the line above the water), Water Snake, Duck on a crankbait ...lost the crankbait and my line, American Eeel in a small creek, Old Rod & Reel, ...

I have come dangerously close to catching a gator... Fishing in Alabama I pitched a spinnerbait near one on top of some grass, as I was pulling it off the grass he struck at it, narrowly missing it. They're a bit faster than one might think.
