Wow cant believe no one has said JJ's Magic. the best scent for plastics there is PERIOD! Its a liquid and stays or is absorb by plastics. Ive tried them all and JJ's gets my vote heres what happened my second day using it last year using a Zoom Trick worm, 1/8oz Piccasso shakey head and 8lb 100% 10.25Lbs!

Smelly Jelly, is the best, you can get it in a paste, or liquid the paste is about the thickness of vasoline, so it stays on good.

Anise, cuz everyone else is chunkin' garlic coated stuff!

I put it on zoom & GYBC plastics that don't have scent already.
Well scented baits like Netbait or Lake Fork don't need anything else.

I think there are some scents that do work. i like the anise/shad gels that don't wash off easily. I use them on my deep swimbaiting in the winter when the fish are keying on gizzard shad. I think it helps the fish key in on the bait and hold on for 3-4 reasons. Deep water, cold water, dirty/stained, presence of shad. That is how i caught my sharelunker and many others over 8 lbs in the same areas. just my opinion
