I'm new to trout fishing and am looking for some advise. TPWD says the trout stocking for the Guadelupe River starts Dec. 4. Would yall recomend going the day of stocking or the following day? Also, this weather isn't to cold is it? Thanks.

Is it ridiculously crowded the first weekend after the stock? It gets really silly below the dam, lots of bobber crossin power baitin.
It's more than the catfish would do.

Rio raft I have fished it 3 times this year. First time out broke off a nice one on san juan worm. The other two times I primarly used spinning rod and did very well. Flies were slow throwing nymphs and san juans. Smallest 12" many 15-18" a few 19-20"
Hueco springs caught some with my son on powerbait, did not break out the flyrod but a few were surfacing.

Very nice. Was that the beginning of the year or here recently?
