It's just like when the I class came out it was up in price now if you look for one you can find them for 46-47 new and 39 for a used one. Skeeter already has orders for them and is building them at the plant! This boat and motor will sell it's self! The boat is built for the new motor faster lighter and if you look at it it's kinda like a cross between a zx and a I class!

It is a good looking boat and motor tho. I would take a good long look at a skeeter if I could get a Merc on one.
This would be difficult since Yamaha owns Skeeter...

This would be difficult since Yamaha owns Skeeter... I'm not sure how difficult it is to do but Airport Marine in Alabama had a new Skeeter rigged with a Verado for sale last year. I think it can be done but it will add thousands to the price of the boat!

If the SHO is lighter than the v-max why can't you put it on a zx250?

You can. The HPDI will not be produced after 1-1-2010. The FX is just designed for maximum performance with the new engine.

And you wonder why boat dealers are going out of business!! Greed ; and the only people that can afford these prices are those who are willing to get in debt up to their eyeballs or being on the "TEAM". Give us the quality boats we can afford to fish out of. You'll be suprised at your bottom line !!! Support the working men that fish on weekends; they're the ones that'll keep the industry alive. this absolutely sums it up to the T The boat dealers aren't the ones setting the prices...it ain't the boat dealers. They are a piece of the equation that suffers from decisions made at the factory level. This new SHO is Yamaha's version of a Verado (might be a better version, no one has seen a true production model yet). No matter what they do it is still a 4 stroke and there isn't a 4 stroke out there getting better fuel mileage than the Etec and Opti's....but they don't take oil. Hype is always good but until Lance and the rest of his guys get to put these things thru their paces it is just hype. Need I say Ficht? They were awesome until the 150-175's started popping like the 4th of July. Most will still say it was the best motor they ever ran right up until the time it popped. I hope it is what they are saying it will be but I ain't from Missouri but you are going to have to "show me" . If I was looking (and I ain't) I would wait until I saw more.

Very cool technology. Not very cool pricing. $60,000+ investment that immediately begins to lose value. Duh.
