Don,
I'm with Mr. Perry on this one. I was told the NEW FX hull is/was/and only designed for the new power plant. This is a complete original from the hull up for the SHO package.. Lean and mean. It moves to the top of the heap in their product line.
Look at the pictures of the boat, it don't look walleye'e to me.

I would assume this engine will be even more fuel efficient as well since it's a 4 stroke?

It has a 95 inch beam, built to handle the SHO. They allowed some dealers to test them (FX20, FX21, along with the RangerZ520, & a Basscat)on Guntersville last week. It also will outrun the ProXS from hole-shot through midrange. On the top of the charts, it took the ProXS 6 miles more to reach top-end speed. It is more fuel efficient, and more importantly, burns NO oil.

Is this gonna replace either the i-class or the ZX or is it going to add another product to the fold?

I guess I don't understand you ProXS comment. It took the ProXS 6 miles to reach top-end speed?

In order(this is not gospel, only hear say) FX,I-class,ZX
Discontinuation of the SX is possible, personally I think dropping the entry level line of boats could be a big mistake.

I am going to have to see on beat a XS out of the hole and through the midrange before I can belive all that. Not saying it wont BUT.

Keep in mind that these test were done trying to help sell the SHO. LOL.

It is a good looking boat and motor tho. I would take a good long look at a skeeter if I could get a Merc on one.

Unfrickinbelievable.......there's no end to it, is there? With today's economy, bass boats now reach $70,000! It's time for the infamous Monday night saying, "Come on, Man!"

Now, where do I go get one? bolt

After 5 minutes, the new SHO was covering more distance per minute. At the 6 minute mark, the ProXS finally was covering the same distance per minute as the SHO.

Maybe that will clear up my post a little.

Even if after 6 minutes the ProXS does run 1 mph faster, which may or may not be the case, it will take a very long run with optimum wave conditions (smooth water) for the other boat to catch the new FX/SHO.
