It sounds cool but will you only be able to use it while running your big motor (at faster speeds) or can you use it with the trolling motor?

It sounds cool but will you only be able to use it while running your big motor (at faster speeds) or can you use it with the trolling motor? SI works best at 3 - 5mph you dont use it when runnng higher speeds. I'm sure Di is the same

OK now the market becomes equal. Everybody has Down scan and side scan capabilities. KVD has been running Lowrance since Pin Point went out of business. Lowrance has never sponsored KVD in the past. KVD has been WINNING with Lowrance products since the last 2 BASSMASTER Classics, last 3 AOY of BASSMASTER and several BASSMASTER Elites, including Elite 50 wins. But lets see how KVD does with H-bird with their old techology. Also I heard a rumor that their #1 front Pro Staff Alton Jones may be going to Lowrance.
Guys read the fine print --- $$$$$. KVD has lost some money from his major sponsors at the beginning of the year(Bass Pro?) ,just as everyone else has. Economics and new offers gets everyone thinking how to make up the differences. He was winning without the technology and now he needs it?

Also how does Humminbird have "old technology"? Do you think VanDam is just joining Humminbird for fun? Of course it is about money...

Yes!!!! That's the way it should be. Not making people buy an expensive unit and then shell out another 600 bucks to upgrade it. So glad I never thought about sellin my Bird.

I have yet to see anything from Lowrance and I have my doubts as to whether it will be seamless when and if they catch up. Humminbird also has the new free updates for 2d coming out and did you see the part where the downscan is coming to Humminbird owners for free, not $600? Again

All I will say is I really don't think Kevin is so hard up for money he had to come beg us to sponsor him. He just collected $250K 2 weeks ago. That's just crazy. And, "Old Technology"? That's even crazier!
