I bought some of Cableas guidewear out of the bargain cave online last year and they are great. Frogg Toggs are really bad, would not have a set.

I bought an awesome Columbia rain jacket at Dicks sporting goods in rockwall yesterday...it was regularly priced at 99 bucks but on sale for 59! I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up and I love it, used it today on the lake and kept me dry and comfortable. Kept me just as dry as any frogg toggs or gortex!

My 100 mph gear has done good the past couple of years.
I'd buy another set if I lose these...

Cabela's Guide Wear has no equal for the cooler months. A bit heavy when its warm. Then I wear a lightweight Gore-Tex set. If I was only going to have one set, it would be the Guide Wear.

Another vote for the Cabelas Guide Wear. Bought my first set around Christmas and fished a crappie tournament at LOP in March where it rained all day. I was still dry at weigh-in unlike some of the guys wearing Frogg Togs.

I may have a set up for sale as soon as I try 'em on as I've lost a bunch of weight since I bought mine.

I just bought Frogg Toggs for a tourny this weekend on Cedar Creek and they worked great for me, stayed dry and it rained most of the day.

And here is another vote for Cabelas Guidewear. I really like mine and feel I got a good product at a good value that will last for years. I too went with the non-insulated.
The quality between the BPS and Cabelas was pretty much the same but as was mentioned before they do fit very, very differently.
I went to each store, actually tried both sets on and walked around in the display area for about 5-10 minutes and the Guideware for me fit much better, results will no doubt vary for others.
So go try both on and then make up your mind before putting out that cash.
And stay away from the cheap rainsuits, you will not be happy in the long run.

As a waterfowl hunter, warm and dry are probably the most important things you can have. I have a Gore Tex parka that I bought almost 20 yrs ago that still keeps me dry and warm. The camo is totally faded but it still works.
Through the years, I have picked up some other gear and found that it works as well as my Gore Tex. Columbia has been making outdoor clothing forever, just in years prior it has been more geared towards skiing, etc. Good stuff. Same goes for Drake gear, although I don't know of any "lightweight" stuff made by them.
Can't go wrong with any Columbia or Gore Tex products, imo.
I also bought some Frogg Toggs this spring for summer raingear, so far so good but, if I was limited to one suit for everything......I wouldn't trust the Toggs.
Good gear is expensive - once. Cheap gear is expensive every year.

Frogg Toggs are what I use now and they do a decent job. Cabelas Guidewear will be the next ones though.
