I think there's a man-rule that states that it's perfectly fine to scream like a school girl in the following situations: 1) snake encounters 2) inappropriate bikini sitings 3) anything large, wet, and scaly rubbing your leg

never caught a gar before, especialy by hand, good catch and cool pic Not a gar... It is a spoonbill, or paddlefish. Awesome picture!!

walk on water is a understatement i was throwing a roster tail lol my wife was laughing so hard she was crying said she never seen me move so fast in my life  Now that's funny right there. I don't care who you are, that's funny. I needed that laugh. Thanks for sharing. I would have left a brown trail in the water.

didnt know paddlefish were at texoma? seen them as a kid in mid 80's below Millwood Lake near Texarkana . huge fish . only way to catch them was to snag them. ive seen them as long as a pick up truck bed . nice catch.
If I'm lucky I'll die with a 7' spinning rod in my hand.
