Did not want to hold him out of the water due to the fact they die real easy got the pic and let him go Think he was around 50lbs or so scared the holy Sh*& out of me but was fly fishing and he ran in to my leg thought it was a big Gar. ( Screamed like a school girl) but it was fun for the first spoonbill i have ever caught.

That's a funky looking fish.

Very nice catch Grasshopper. I thought you were just supposed to reach in and grab a goldfish out of a well, not catch a marlin with your bare hands.

Lol I know the feeling. When I used to snag gar about a 15lb carp ran full speed into my leg. I became jesus at that point cause I walked across that water. Good times.

The first time i saw a paddlefish was also the first day i ever went fishing. My brother invited me to Texoma and we ended up fishing below denison dam. One of the fellow anglers snagged a 4 ft paddlefish (Assuming by accident). As he was reeling it in, his line became tangled with my brothers line. My brother pulled in the paddlefish to release the hook and off he went to live another day. Ever since, i have been fishing regularly.
