I also cut my tubes in half, then use a floater rig set for shallow water, produces pretty good and the hook set is consistant

My biggest on 7 is 5.5 pounds. I am a marv's dealer, love it. I am a secret 7 dealer. Love it. I've caught just as many dinks with marvs as i have with Secret 7. Caught just as many eaters with Secret 7 as i have big marvs. Both good baits.

In the river i only use secret 7. The dip tube allows for a slow release down stream. In the lake i use Marvs and Secret 7 with the Furry Thang. I fish them on bottom unless its in a heavily wooded area then i do it under bobber.

Up to you. I personally don't chum with dip and punch baits because of the release. They self chum. When that bait hits the water a small explosion of goodness is created.

I have used sure shot , secret 7 and DKs, all produce about the same, get dinks with them all, only way to stay away from them is use cut bait, shad prefered.

I haven't tried s7 yet but I use prepared bait quite a bit and will try it. My opinion is that they catch more fish under 5 lbs than cut shad. That is what I do the majority of my fishing for. They also reduce the gar problem. Most of the larger fish I have caught have been on live bait, usually perch. If you are fishing for eaters, I would use the stink bait. If you are catching dinks, that is what is there. Try another place.
