i just weigh the fish by picking it up and accurately guessing
how much it weighs!
Thats the best thing to do so you don't have to keep it out of
water as long

If need to, take a 10lb 15 lb and 20lb weight with you that way
you can use that to judge the fishes weight after you release it!

I have to agree with Chris. The boga is probably OK for small carp, but I would imagine any fish approaching 15 or 20 lbs. would be minus a mouth after trying to weigh it with a boga.

Some here use the, now world famous, hookless rig (invented by a LSCB member.) It basically guarantees that the fish won't be harmed at all.
