My Xpress sure takes a beating, but I have only had to rock myself off of one stump.... so far!! Had an old guy at the boat ramp run into my boat with his jon boat, got a little dent outta that one.

Dings on your boat are kinda' like hanging jigs up in brush....If you're not hangin' up (dingin' your boat) you're probably not gonna' catch fish.

My boat had character when I bought it and I have just added to it. That's the nice thing about buying an old boat are old car you just don't worry about that first ding.

My new boat already has a few Character marks on it but I bought it to use(not abuse). It will have it's fair share of hickies in the next few years or I wouldn't have been fishing right. fish

my old '82 aluminum... I'm trying to think of a spot that DOES NOT have a ding, scratch, gouge, dent, or scrape. It's a fishing boat, not a showboat.

I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

most all the structure I fish is 14-20 feet deep , I hope I never
bump it. smile
bumping a bridge column is all about boat control. I have not fished the bridge in a while , but when I did, I made it
a point to approach into the wind, so I'm constantly being blown
away from the pilling, using the trolling motor to stay in the
strike zone, ( 8-10 ft rods help here )
