talking about boat control on the other post..does your boat get dinged up on trees,bridge columns etc. my 06 tracker ages 3yrs every trip..what do y'all do to prevent it or is it just collateral damage

My boat has so much "character" I could make a movie.

Hopefully, one day I'll have a boat to put some character on.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow of my homemade fender. It works great. I built it because my previous boats were all beat up like yours. I'll make the and ship to you for $29. each, total. I never thought of making/selling but why not if there are fishermen who could use them.

I hit my boat on tons of stuff, I'm just not too good at the controlling aspect of things but that's why I have a nicely used boat. I figured if I ever get really good at the controlling then I might upgrade. Until then, hopefully my boats stays afloat.

As long as I don't just SLAM into a big stump that doesn't give (like the ones on Ray Bob), I'm not a bit bothered by the boat being right up against the tree/pillar. The way I figure it, the tighter I'm tied off to it, the less likely the boat is to sway around while I'm fishing.

Bump a stump with a jig and attract fish. Bump it with the boat and SCARE the fish.I think I get a bruse every time my BABY bumps into something. I may feel different next month when the warranty expires, I don't know.

+1 on pepop's answer. That's a good way to spook the crappie off of standing timber.

I fishing boat without scratches = a freezer without fish.

Those boats are made to be used. Use it up if you can.
