Yes I really like braided line. Honestly, I have had the same spool line on my reel since the early fall and i have not had a problem with it and i fish multiple times a week. If you want to experiment with it different brands, do it. But just remember that AFTER you use power pro, try suffix. There is a big difference. I use Suffix and love it. A lot of people get upset with new braid, but has to be broken in a little when its fresh. It has a coating on it that will rub off pretty quickly threw fishing it. Once it starts to lose a little of its color is when its in its prime and you are set. A lot of people say that you need to mark you line for camo. I have tried and have never seen a increase in strikes... But good luck and DO NOT rap your the line around your hand to pull in a fish or to break off. Your hand will break off before the line will!

I used it for the first time lastnight. Never used anything but mono......I'm pretty sure I felt a bass come up and sniff my bait.....Loved the sensitivity of it.

I love braid and have it on almost every rod I own, I use Power Pro. It's also way easier ,in my opinion, to get backlashes out than mono or flourocarbon. It's tougher and stronger too.

Do you like Braided line?
Hell no.Do I use it? I'm afraid so...Of course I also use Listerine and I hate that too. Burns like hell. I like it. I use 20lb and sometimes 50lb spiderwire.

1500 yards of braid and 3 rolls of big game here. Braid at 65lb power pro on everything but spinning rod and crankbait. Actually just switched my crankbait over to get it deeper. 12lb mono also

Well, let me tell you my setup. I really want it for fishing at the coast. I am asking you guys because there are alot more bass fisherman on this forum than there are coastal fisherman. All I have are 3 spinning reels w/ bass-striper rods. all shimano reels (beside the point) that I will be using. I can't afford to go out and buy a different setup for every situation, so I make do with what I have. The reels are all the same size---hold 200 yds of 10 lb mono. I will probably need a minimum of 200 yds of line at the coast if I latch on to a monster, so I was thinking I have 2 choices. one, switch to braid w/ a smaller diameter, or stick with 10 lb test and try a stonger mono line like 10 lb P-line xxtra strong. Its supposed to break, according to a test I saw, at about 22 lbs. What would you do?

I use power pro exclusively.. 20# or so....because I bank fish.. I snag a lot.. and run up against the rocks. and stumps. .and boaters (wink) .. etc.. and it is really tough stuff. For my situation it is a dream come true. For super spooky fish just tie on some tippet material and you are good to go.
I tie directly to the spool. .unless you are casting all your line out. there is enough friction that having mono as backing is not really effective (my experience).
Now. .power pro will loose it's color. and that green dye will be all over your reel.. so that is a mess. but a good service will take care of that.
I have never tried on a spinning reel. .so no comment there.
one thing about braid.. there is no stretch.. a real chance of yanking the lure right out the fish.... happens on most every trip.. and you cuss your self for not remembering.... if you move your rod tip 6".. so does your lure.. .. when you see those dudes on TV set the hook by slamming their rod 180 degrees.. .. with braid.. that lure will move 10'..imagine what happens to your hook set if you suddenly yank the lure 10'... just something to think about..
hope this helps..
