Congrats guys! Well done! Man, that Peanut has seen a boat load of reds come over the side of jackies boats over the years.

Peanut must need eye protection from all that splashing going on over the gunnels and the scales flying by. Some sea dogs will wear just about anything so they can go fishing too!
Go get'm Jackie.

Jackie,
I saw that last pic of the monster cat and was just curious to see if you might be able to share a little light on the catfishing in fairfield. A few buddies and i will be there in the next week or so and planned on doing some night fishing for catfish that leads into early morning red hunting... Thanks in advance!

I catch a few catfish while redfishing, sometimes a good many but usually they run in a different part of the lake. If I wanted catfish I would be night fishing shallow up in the back of Little Brown and Big Brown Creeks. Little Brown is the cove just South of the boat ramp and Big Brown is on the far South end of the lake. The dam is on the North end of the lake. Live bait and cut bait both work well for catfish, this lake has a lot of very nice channel cat, and some blues along with flatheads. The catfish tug just can't get there with a red but nothing else in southern fresh water can either.

And what a enjoyable filled and nice day it was to be on the water with Jackie & peanut again, Between the two of them the rods are always zinging, As far as the nut in the hatch, about the time it starts to rain I think i have made good friends with Peanut, what a turn he made tho when he let me know that was his hatch only, Enjoyed it Jackie and thanks again, Jerry R. happy fishing

I have never been to these lakes just to know what do y'all catch these fish on? Y'all looked to be on a bank.
Love them reds

how are the ramps. Did you get any good rain or just a sprinkle? Thanks Steve
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.
