Jackie you ever fish top waters,swim or jerk baits? Or do you just use cut bait?

Awesome fish.

Live bait&cut bait, sometimes under corks sometimes carolina rigged.
Where the bait is placed is much more important than the bait, or at least I think so.
In my limited knowledge and opinion: When reds are feeding they will hit anything they see if it comes close to fitting in there mouth.

7/11 AM trip: My friend Bubba Minchew of Axtail, TX and his daughter Kayle, 11 yrs old, along with her friend Brooke Martinka, 12 yrs. old, put in a half day trip from 6-10. We had a gangbuster morning catching 14 reds in two hours. Mr. Jep Fator put a trophy in the boat measuring 38.5 inches, a big red by anyone's standards. (The lake record, which is also the inland state record, is 44 inches.) Jep also landed underwater freight trains measuring 31.5 and 28 inches, while Janice caught some smaller ones. After the trip Mr. Fator treated us to a meal at Something Different, complete with Tres Leche cake for dessert. Hard to top a deal like that, unless you're Peanut and have to wait in the truck.
