I get nothing but compliments on my Z9 ride quality. Running Toledo And Rayburn. But as in any boat, especially on Toledo where you have to go one direction, they can all ride rough. When the wind is not cooperating. I Have been rocked in them all. I ask one thing of my boat, that is I want to be able to get there Without tearing my boat up, and killing myself when the waves began to roll.

My Skeeter ZX180...I enjoy fishing out of it because I can walk all around it while fishing and feel safe, but when it is running on the big motor in rough water it can kind of get scary. I now know why the previous owner had claw marks on the wheel and panic handles.

While fishing the Central Pro Am circuit some years ago I would have say Gambler Boats run like He--, but will put you in traction on semi rough water.

My 19'6" Nitro rides so bad it got nicknamed Ol' Spinecrusher. I thought at 1st it was me but now after 11 years and a bunch of different drivers I can pretty well say with all confidence that it is the boat. The only boat I've been in and driven that was as bad is the old 300 series Rangers. Not only will they crush your spine but they drown you while doing it. I had a 79 Ranger 372 that would give you a good spine crushing and throw in a good bath/shower at no additional fee!!!!!!! my 19'6" nitro rides great course I dont push the throttles to the stops every time i use it, especially in really rough water. Worse one was a 16' hydro sport with a 90 on it, ang bang boom boom

Hydra Sports should have included an icepack for your nads with the purchase of every boat.

I own a 21ft Skeeter and I am very pleased with the ride. I have rode in many of the smaller skeeters and think they have the worst ride of any boat. A zx180 being the worst boat I have ever rode in. I can remember a ride on grapevine one night that caused me to have internal bleeding!!!

My brothers first bassboat back in the early 70's was a Caravelle tri hull similar to that one, and it would pound you so bad even with just the slightest chop on the water. It was no fun to ride in that boat even short distances. Back then bass boat designs hadn't progressed much and everyone copied everyone elses design and stability, and room and storage was the big thing and ride was made better by the weight of the boat. I remember some members of our club had those big heavy Invader bass boats and they rode like a brick. Wet but smooth, as they plowed through the waves.

The first new boat i ever bought was a 91 16ft Tidecrap that thing was scary. Me and the wife was caught out on Fork and a storm came up we were airborn a couple of times getting back to the ramp. She never got back in the thing and I learned to never go out in it if the wind was over 15mph. Didn't hurt my feelings one bit to see it go in on a trade.
