Welcome, again, to fatherhood.

I don't have a dog in this hunt as I haven't fished any of the tournaments.

However, I do have an opinion like everyone else. grin

I don't think anybody is saying that after the tournament is over you have to go home. wink I thought these Sunday tournaments were about a little 'friendly' competition where the emphasis was more on 'friendly'. grin

yep that's what it's all about. After I get the scales I'll pick a lake.

Tourney on Lavon sounds nice to me. Can we make it in like 2 weeks though? I'd like a break after the RR CAT tourney to do some regular fishing before tourneying it again... azn

I agree with you on the time limit and your thoughts, I'm just saying there are guys on this side of the metromess that would like to fish in their backyards too.

No worry folks...
If Brian decides the East side...a certain amount of folks will fish...and vice versa for the West side... No need to drive too far for a short tournament like a lot of you are saying...
It's supposed to fun get together anyway.... No one is earning any point for the year-end global championship...
No tournament is ever gonna please everyone... Unfortunately...most tournaments have been pleasing the east more often than not.... so if he ever pick a west side one, I hope it's not something to cry about...
Whatever it is...I hope that it will maintain its main focus on having a fun get together for the ones who can not fish Sat., and not commercialize it like some of other bigger tournys...

Hey Brian, I'll pitch in to help pay for the new scales.
No problem.
Keep 'em certified so if we get some lake
or state records we can regester them legally.
Ya never know.

Will probably just take 20 bucks from each tourney till I get paid back for half of the cost. The other half I will just pay out of pocket.

As far as the east side, west side thing... Right now Im picking lakes that I know a lot of people fish. Well known, with lot's of history on this forum. I dont feel like getting into a big debate about it, but understand if some dont want to come fish if too far. I also understand about the time limit being shorter. If fishing from 7-12 is too short then hold off till fall when we can do them longer. Just no point sitting out there all day in my opinion.

Ok so here it is, hope this is acceptable..

JULY 26th LAKE LAVON FISHING FROM 6-11:30 BE IN LINE AT 12:00, AT 12:01 THE WEIGH IN LINE WILL BE CLOSED.

There is now a sticky with the new info so lets let this post fall to the bottom.

Sounds good to me. I will also donate to the fund for scales.

These tournaments are not meant to compete with CAT, the're just for fun in addition to CAT. Most of the particapants of these Sunday tournaments are CAT members as well.

Maybe so James but there are a lot of us that live over here on the West side of the metromess. It's not just about East Texas guys. [/quote]

Thank you Stucky, Nobody thinks about us west texas boys
Think Central.
Every tournmanent with Exception of RR Sunday Tourn. has been well over 3 hour drive for us or further.
Tell you what Brian you make the next one Grapevine I will pitch in 100 bucks towards the scales. I will save that in gas and time....

I know you got one planned for lavon already so I mean after that.
