LBH made me happy. I hit the north shore line, concentrating, on the artificial rock outcropping. I've been running a white tandem spinnerbait, not really trying to catch much. I was mostly trying to practice my casting. I nailed a solid 4 pound female, and she fought hard. What I would've given to have caught her 2-3 weeks ago!

Headed out to 1378 this afternoon. Anyone else? My daughter learned a baitcaster on Saturday so I'll have her out there with me. -22

Hit Andrew Brown park yesterday for the first time and overall a pretty good trip. Caught 4 bass with the biggest going around 3lbs...Broke out the F-9 Rapala and worked it along the banks and even had one hit it on top water. Thanks for the heads up on this site and I am sure I will make it back out there. Also watched two guys spank the crappie for hours on minnows.lots of snakes and fire ants so keep a look out~!

Today I hit the pond suggested by KnotatWork, SE of Custer & 121.

I was only there about 1½ hours & got 6, mostly about like this little guy. Topwater was working, got all six on ¼oz. pink/chart spinner:

best lure's for LBH . was out there Tuesday for about an hour . was throwing a white/blue ,white/chart spinner bait a chart buzz bait and a f-9 rap . seen a few 2-3 foot gar up close to the shore and there where dozens of 2-4 inch minnows swimming about . I think next time I'm gonna bring the throw for some cheap live bait and cast out under a bober.

Not sure how some of yall feel about this, but I sure do hate watching people pull nice LMB out of a pond and then through them in a bucket and take them home. I was asked today if they could keep a bass that I cought. I told them sure and as they were almost reaching for the fish I threw it in the pond. I wish people would leave the bass int he ponds and keep that ones that are at lakes. SORRY FOR THE RANT....
