fished the creek earlier today around 4pm, nothing!! No bites, no nibbles. Threw out a few different rooster tails and crappie jigs for the hell of it! After about 3 hours I gave up and went home with 2 rooster tails stuck some where in the creek and no fish!

caught only one fish today...started fishing from 4pm to 7pm around the pipe area in Firewheel...did not see any one catching any fish...is it possible that the sand bass run is over for this year? confused

Wind from the north, fisherman does not go forth.
Wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth.
Wind from the east, the fish bite least.
Wind from the west, the fish bite best.

Seriously dout it. Keep in mind the day/night before was in the 30's. That tends to shock them. I bet this week they will go since we got rain the other day.

This maybe a dumb question but i really have no idea and i have been looking around for a while with nothing to show for it. I have been using lures such as Rooster tails and other jigs alike. So my question is, what kinda of rod and reel do i need to be using for this. Spinning, Spincast or Baitcast??? Thanks for your advice!~

Spinning reel is best for this type of fishing. Hey T-FLY I hope you cover these type of ? when you make your video, rod reel and misc tackle needed, but like others have said read this whole thread it will benefit you, just about every ? you can ask has been asked and has been answered, or do the obvious hire T-FLY and he will guide you in the right direction.

Academy:

Spinning Reel Click Here

Spinning Rod Click Here

-Academy has both of these. I like the QUANTUM OPTIX 20 reel and a medium action 7 ft rod. so $40 bucks and your good to go. dont forget the Trilene 4 lb XL (red box). this setup is exactly what i use. lasts me 3 years average since they get used on a daily basis. so they will last you a lifetime.
zoom in on the rod till you see the words on it so u can go to academy and get it there. i think they are 19.99 there.
