I prefer the liquid Berkley Powerbait Crappie formula to the nibbles.
The liquid sure does stink and doesn't smell anything like the nibbles but, I think that's the only bad thing to say about it. (we refer to it as the bottle of a$$ scratch)

Assume if it does catch more fish, would one try it? Sure...
I can't speak for all obviously, since each his own liking. However, I did test quite a few times...Yes, it does work better with nibbles, especially winter cold climate. At times, I am too lazy to put one on, but it does work. I've tested it many times and convinced...
One biggest draw back when using nibble is...once on your boat carpet...it is a B & 1/2 to clean up. I never care since I have an old beat up boat, but for those of you who have nice boat, it can be a hassle.
Another way to look at it....I'd rather have dirty carpet and lots of crappie slim than clean carpet with little or no slim...

I put them on with my minnows. I'm not that good with jigs but if I use jigs I put them on with it. I might try sticking one in te minnows mouth and give him nibble breath. See if that will work.

I have used them for years and swear by them. I have kept crappie in an aquarium and observed them as I dangled jigs in front of them. They will hit the jig either way, but if it has a nibble on it, they will hold it in their mouth longer gumming the nibble off.
A crappie can suck a jig in and spit it out in the blink of an eye. An inexperienced crappie fisherman might never know he had a bite. The nibble can makes the hook set time a little longer. Word of warning, don't put wet hands in the bottle of nibbles. They will turn into one large mass. Good luck with your catching. Wayner

I've never used them for crappie but we used to use them for bluegill and perch fishing. Used to slaughter them on the nibbles. Guess i'll have to put them back in the boat and actually use them for what they were intended for.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

They are also great to have around the boat house for the grandkids to catch perch and channel cats.
My wife won't even dunk a minnow without tipping with a nibble.

Ok...here we go. I kept 1,178 crappie last year...God only knows how many I caught. Most of the kept were over 12 inches long and a lot of them were over 15 inches long. None were under 11 inches long and I only kept them on the slow days. AND every one of them bit a hook with Berkley crappie nibble on it. Yes they work....IMHO they work much better than a minnow and that is why I never buy minnows any more. Oh ya....at 4 bucks a jar...they are also much cheaper than minnows and if you don't use them....you can fish with the leftovers next week or next month or next year. I guess I am a big believer in Crappie Nibbles. Can you argue with success?

I never leave home without them! On days when the perch are a nuisance, I switch to a hollow tube jig and fill the tube up with a "nibble pump". The perch still try to peck it to pieces, but they can't get to the nibbles and you don't have to replace them every 30 seconds. Deral

To tell you the truth I dont like the nibbles anymore I like this stuff 5oz can will last a long time. Sometimes when I go creek fishing Ill forget it in my boat and part of me just wants to give up before i start. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...10000_100-10-11
