I am plannin on going out with a buddy in from Ohio tomorrow early afternoon? 1st time on this Creek. I've read the threads and have seen the road off of FW on Google Maps, but want to make sure I can park there? Heard some stories about tickets and I don't need any of those.Any suggestions to the New Guy here? I want to make sure that we get on the fish. I generally fish the Old Alton/Hickory Creek, but they haven't seem to move into the creek yet.. TOO much construction going on at the mouth.
Help me out someone, We are both avid fishermen, and won't take your spots, and from what I read, there is plenty to share? I just want to show my northern friend howicatchum in the Texas creek runs...

Sorry KaLuB, that was just a lame attempt at humor on my part in response to a post by Fisherman Joe on page 55. Don't you know your Jimi Hindrix tunes? rock

BTW KaLuB, you paddled past us last night around 9:00 near Castle Rd. but I couldn't remember your name. (Rude, right?) Anyway, we were on the bank, not in the canoe. I'll try to remember your name next time!

man thats great for you but it sure Scuked for me this morning eek . i was fishing about 200 yards from the firewheel bridge where that tree has those roots branching everywhere on the little part of land you can fish on...first time on that spot too and didnt have such a good feeling about it..comes out, NO FISH.....my buddies downstream managed to catch a 16 1/2 pushing 17 inch sandbass and another 15 incher...thats it...we were there around 6 left at 9...minnows did not work at all..they took rattletrap type baits today. btw, what where you using to catch all those fishes?
i seen a bunch of people at the firewheel bridge..its like elbow to elbow. maybe next time i'll head over there and get cozy with yah. fish seems to be over there more. i'll make my way there another day this week just dont know yet. good fishin! thumb

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids
