Can you drill through a skimmer type transducer from the head to the base if it is broken at the neck part? And is there any type of glue (gorilla glue?) that will work to hold it together if I just glue it? It is just and awkward type thing that seems tough to clamp the 2 pieces together to allow a glue time to cure/set.
Any advice would be great. I can replace with new, but hate to spend $50 every time I hit a stump or get to close to the rocks.
Thanks

I know a guy who drilled some holes and glued pins in a broken skimmer neck. He used a good 2 part epoxy and has been running it for a couple of years since he fixed it.

I tried with mine with no success. I had to replace the transducer. There went $80.....

If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

In a world of compromise.....Some don't.

The trick is to make a bracket and glue the broken transducer to the bracket and then mount it to the trolling motor. Thats what I did and it has held up for years now.
