Feed it. Clover actually adds nitrogen back into the soil. My motto is, if it's green, leave it alone.

Give it a try. Follow the instructions carefully and I suggest wearing protective gear.

It depends on whether you want fast or slow results? They both work.

What kind of clover is it? Burr clover--kill it. Dutch white clover--good to have.

If it is really clover you could stake out a goat or deer in your yard...

I have St. Augustine in the front yard.

I, too have a bunch of clover/chickweed (whatever its called).

What do I use to fertilize the yard/kill the clover?

I'll hang up and listen.

Feed the St. Augustine and mow when the clover bugs you. Once it gets hot the St. Augustine will choke out the clover. Clover is actually good for the soil. Keeps it ariated.

Chickweed I'm not to sure about.

Clover is a perennial broadleaf weed - and I'm assuming you have dense patches of this across your lawn. Its very tough to get rid of once established.

You can treat it with something like Banvel (dicamba) that has 2,4D in it. Anything that controls tough brodleaf weeds will have 2,4D in it. Be careful - this stuff is dangerous and you can kill your lawn with it. Only apply in the recommended ratios.

I also use a product called Image - Monsanto makes this. It is a selective herbicide that will control nutsedge (and not kill your lawn). It also controls broadleaf weeds very effectively on bermuda grass - which is what I have.

As for next year - I would lay a strong pre-emergent such as Fertilome AllSeasons (IMO this is the best on the market). Once you get it under control - apply your normal fertilizer (Fertilome Plus Iron is great) - and it should help the lawn regain control of those areas and choke the clover out.

Whell..Bye
