I fish EAST texas lakes pretty regulary and it is a PAIN to take all of your rods out of the boat but I do. I actually got it down to taking about 5 minutes. I wish that it did not have to be that way but I also do the same thing at my house which is on 2 acres and surrounded by a chain link / wooden fence. Rods and reels cost too much to chance.
I am sorry to hear about your rods and I agree if there is a tournament going on to hire a watchful eye to watch our stuff is a GOOD idea.
Thanks for looking....

There was a dog theft ring busted around Zavalla(Crack heads) last year. They were stealing high dollar dogs and carrying them to Canton and selling them. Ya'll might want to check up there when they have the big sale. They got my buddy's Springer Spaniel and that's where they found him.

Did you fish Coleto Creek? What boat do you have? I am just trying to remember who you were. Who else got their stuff jacked. PM with names if you can. I was at Coleto with the Stroker.

Bringing everything in is good but is a short term solution. If everyone was to bring everything in at night the sacks of s___ would then start taking other things off our boats. Security is the only way to go. Good security provided by off duty police because who knows how long if could take the police to show up if you did catch somebody. There is a shortage of peace officers and these counties are large and it could take awhile. I personaly do not want to be confronting a coke head looking for his next fix. Just my two cents.

No worries here I have been doing LE in the USCG for almost 17 years. I have all the PPE Vest cuffs, P-spray and all that. We will do it if they want to give us a call.

If you are going to be pulling security, you better be licensed or you will find yourself getting in trouble with the state.
