Much appreciated, but I would rather see us on the forum help out someone who REALLY needs help! a couple of fishing poles is not gonna set me back that far and i got a legitimate hookup(family member works at a local sporting goods store--Can you say EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT!)

You are not the first from this forum to offer financial "chip in" assistance, and all I gotta say is that MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM ARE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

TFF Rocks!

Sorry to hear that happened to you Rudy. realmad The person who did that is too lazy to work and buy some fishing tackle for themselves, so he has to steal the gear that someone else that put in the hard hours to get. What a shame! mad

Sorry to hear about your stuff being stolen.

Maybe that stuff is in a pawn shop somewhere, might be worth stopping by a few to check.

Rudy,
I know how you feel I had some stuff stolen last Jan at LLELA. I had the worst sinking feeling in my gut when I turned around and my stuff was gone. I have a extra rod if you need it. Lord knows you have helped me out a lot at WRC.

I am always so careful with my gear, but it can happen to anyone anywhere. You had your stuff locked up and still got hit.

Rudy, sorry to hear what happened. Especially to a father's day gift from your son - some people don't care about anyone else but #1...
I had ALL of my lures stolen last year at Denison Dam on Texoma (actually happened at Dave's Ski and Tackle), so I know how you feel. I had more than $1,000 worth in my bag.
Like RedTopLady said, it was most likely someone who knows you work there and/or fish there. And maybe what car you drive too. To steal a couple of rods and some gear out of a locked car doesn't seem very random...but they WILL get too greedy and get caught one day because *hit FLOATS...and that piece of *hit that took your stuff will one day come to the surface - trust me.
Good luck and give a shout if you need anything.

I'm gonna miss her when I get home....

Thanks guys but went to BPS today and started the re-plenishment process! Got a 5.5 ft UL BPS spinning rod for 17 bucks, and got a wally marshall UL reel for 19 bucks, and got a BPS tackle satchel for 14 bucks (half price!), and some jig heads and tubes, and some bobbers.

Promptly went out to a creek not too far from BPS to "field test" my new gear, and waylaid crappie left and right for nearly 3 straight hours!

The gear works!

Rudy

Rudy's new gear works fine - saw it with my own 2 eyes. His new gear is broken in real good. thumb
