 Does a Lower Life Form Exist?

Than a thief? Got my van broken into at my job, and the scum of the earth made off with my two best ultralight rods, and the tackle box satchel that had ALL my jigs and inline spinners and grubs in it. It had recently been re-stocked for the current crappie in the creeks fandango and the upcoming sandie/hybrid spring creek/river runs!
A few hundred dollars worth of tackle. The rods and reels weren't that expensive, but mighty good ones that i had broken in just right, if you know what I mean.
The satchel had been a Father's Day gift from my son, so really it had priceless sentimental value.
But is there a feeling of personal violation any worse than when someone breaks into your car or home and makes off with your stuff????
In my book, there is no lower form of life than a thief, and ANY misfortune that befalls them is too good for them!!
I hope they got enough off of my stuff at the pawn shop or from the guy who buys "good hot stuff" for them to get their little rock, coke, or weed fix!
I will recover, but right now i just have that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, and, well,. . . . .

sorry to hear that.... id be screwed if they got into my truck if i had my gear in it..... i try to never leave it in the truck.... but you never know when a person will try to get into your vehicle.... i yell at my buddies when they leave there rods in the back of the truck.... but to break in it just plain suxs/////

That's horrible Rudy, I am sorry that happened to you. Bet it was someone that knew what they would find, knowing you stop to fish before and after work as you do. No, a lower form of life does not exist. Won't help you, but someone like that will get caught someday, they always get too greedy and get caught. I am always so careful with my gear, but it can happen to anyone anywhere. You had your stuff locked up and still got hit.

that sucks Rudy! Got my truck broken into a year ago just to steal my GPS. The unit was $100 bucks, the glass window I had to replace was over $500, plus an additional $100 to my insurance company over six months.
I got screwed by the theifs, the dealership AND the industry!!!!

Rudy, I have enjoyed your posts over the years and have learned quite a bit from them. I feel bad for you, but I know you'll bounce back and catch a lot of fish this spring (and fall, and summer, and winter) because you know your stuff when it comes to fishing and because you're a good person.

Only lower life form I can think of is the one who killed a Dallas Police Officer..otyher than that yea Rudy they are low lifes!....I cant stand a thief either!! Hang em HIGH!!!

Rudy, your right anyone who would steal a mans fishing gear is the lowest form of life on earth. Nothing disgust me more than a thief, and sorry to hear about your loss. The good thing about the forum is that we are all buddies and we can look out for each other. Maybe if we all pitched in a little bit we could help you get some of your gear back. So ill dontate $10 to the pot to get it started. -josh
