Believe this? I'm a redneck college guy who thinks it's hard to beat a good Maredsous. laugh Any of y'all tried 1554? I know it's not as good as Maredsous...but it's still pretty good. Like one of my buddies said "Beer shouldn't be clear!"

Probably the best beer that New Belgium makes. Not one of my favorite micro-breweries. Not to bag on them, but there are many better micro-breweries in CO.

I've been enjoying Shiner 99 lately; nice, smooth, and hearty!

Nice thread. Buffalo Butt is pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried. I've been sipping on Old Jubiliation (Avery Brewing). Nice and malty, well-balanced hop character. They were out of this at the SAucer last week, so I had to "settle" for buying a 6-pack on my way home.

I've also been enjoying Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. WoW! Such hoppiness! I love this beer! I just found a clone recipe for this, and can't wait to brew it. I have a doppelbock that is about to go into secondary fermentation, and it's going to be a might nice beer when it's done. Thick and malty, I was just starting to taste the alcohol and then there was a little turn of chocolate in the finish. Nice. 8.4% ABV. The hard part is going to be waiting for it to finish conditioning. It won't really be ready to drink for at least 6 months.

Anyone ever tried Beamish Stout? A friend just told me about this, but I haven't found it anywhere yet.

Let me know when you guys head to the Saucer. I'd like to meet y'all. And one of these days, I'd like to start carping with ya's, too.

SV Celebration is decently hoppy, but I won't say it's crazy hoppy lol. Not Double IPA hoppy. You should try Green Flash West Coast IPA for one of the best, hoppiest "single" IPAs I've had.

Also, Saucer in Addisson has Old Jubilation on draught, as I just had some yesterday. Along with some Oskar Blues Ten Fidy Imperial Stout.

So...when's the Group Saucer get-together?

I am going to the FW Saucer tomorrow (12/20) at about 5pm. Come join me, or suggest a better time.

As far as IPAs go... Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA

Stone has a really good IPA as well.

I was at the Saucer in FW last night and I had a "Delerium Noel."

Very good, but very strong (10.5% I think).

I was planning on adding three to the Beer Knurd club last night but that's all I could do.

Nah, we need to plan it like a week in advance, try and get a bunch of folks there.

Preferably not on a night when the cowboys collapse...guess we won't have to worry about that much longer this season lol.

I live so close that it doesn't make much difference as to when. I was actually home shortly after kickoff to watch the 'boys choke.
