When it comes to posts about places like bachman and others,race is inevitably brought up in its ugly sickening subtle comments like what was posted. none of us are stupid, we all know what they mean when they say that1 C'mon, grow up! Racism in veiled, subtle forms is the most damaging and dangerous kind.

I have lived in this area 28 years, and for every bad guy you bring up i can show you 10 good ones. Decent honest hard working, and fun loving people, many trying to keep head above water, and make life better for their families.

I find it insulting when ever i just try to mention the good fishing available, that some moron throws in a comment be it about it being in a "bad" neighborhood--(read not lilly white and so far north you can hear the Sooner band tuning up)or the homeless, which arent even there any more, and by the way when they were, the majority of them were basically good white guys down on their luck, got to know most of them and they were, for the most part, just plain folk!

That blade cuts both ways casey, and i never mentioned anything other than the fishing, others throw in the garbage, and i am just tired of it being brought up every time i mention an inner city fishing hole.

But like i said, if it's so beneath any of you to come down and sample some of the best fishing anywhere, bar none, then just stay away, i won't lose any sleep over it.

I too have lived in the area for a long time, 26 years to be exact. It isnt a race issue, there thugs of all colors in that area of town. I went to school at EH Cary, and then Thomas Jefferson, trust me, I know all about it. Its a matter of fact, Love Field in general isnt the nicest place in Dallas to be. Take a look at the crime statistics for the area. The facts, man, just the facts.

As for the homeless guys being "fun loving" ask Bobby how many times his truck has been broken into by the homeless guys. As of 2006 it was 4 times. While you're at it, dont forget to ask him how many poles of his have come up missing.

BTW, there's more of us that are "lilly white" in Love Field than you think.

Sorry if you missed understood my comment above. I was not trying to make Bachman a bad place. I personally just don�t feel safe at night in general anywhere. Races or color was not my issue in my comment. I go by the crime statistic, the local news, word of mouth and what I see when I drive by...coming home from work.

Hey, I live near White Rock Lake and it is fairly a nice area, but I am afraid to fish there at night by myself. It is great during the day. Next year would be my 30th years to live in the White Rock Lake area. And, I am still paranoid of fishing at night at WRL and I love WRL area. I would like to fish at the Bachman someday, since the strip clubs are gone.

Man I see a homeless guy all the time but he aint no trouble, I even bring him a happy meal every once in awhile! I might even get the guy a jacket this winter. He's a little off center, like he fell out of the rocker but he isnt much trouble.

Jess, I never said the homeless guys were fun loving, i was referring to the hard working families in this area that just wanna make it better for their families. I said the majority of the homeless guys around here in the recent past were white guys down on their luck and for the most part, decent folk. I NEVER said the homeless were fun loving.

Once again paranoia sets in. sad.

Rudy took me to his favorite spots at Bachman last week at dark, and we talked to some of the guys fishing there and they all seemed like ordinary people, not criminals.

never saw a problem in the times i went to that hole. never caught too much tho.

Well Rudy, something did indeed happen this evening, I caught 12 crappies in 45 minutes. They shut off about 20 min after dark.

i had some fish steal my bait! but couldnt tell if they were white or black crappie guess i cant make an informed statement
