Am I sure that a gallon of milk weighs about 8.5 lbs - Yes.

Am I sure that the bass weighed 7.5-8? No, not at all. I said that becuase assumed that you were saying she weighed just less than a gallon of milk. Looking at the pick I certainly wouldn't argue that she went over 9 and maybe even 10.

huh. i always thought a gallon of water, milk, whatever weighed 12 pounds. i wonder where i got that number from. either way, its the biggest bass ive ever pulled in, no matter how much it weighed.

Congratulations, That is a really nice bass!!! It's a little harder to judge the weight because She is really a butterball. However, by comparing her length and shape to some of the hundreds of photos I have of measured/weighed bass, I would estimate her weight to be over 10 lbs. If you have a reasonable estimate of her length, or better still the measured distance from your elbow to your wrist, I can easily give you a much better estimate of her weight.

Congratulations, & Good Fishin',
