I agree, a big trolling motor. Nice fish finder. Rod holders and a good live well or maybe two.

Center console, I can drive sitting or standing. Great visiblity and comfort VS a bassboat.
The extra 3 feet I got when upgrading from 19 to 22 ft.

Being just 17.5', and fitting in my driveway. Able to take 4-5 foot waves(although a bit scary) and running in 6" of water. Able to hunt and fish from my boat. Easy loading. Plenty of storage. Sharing fun times with family and friends. Having Game Wardens, and people saying "that's a nice rig." Having only 1.7 yrs. left on payments.
P.B. May 2009 Columbia River, just west of Camas, Washington 9ft. 4"

For years I fished out bass boats,I was always cleaning (vacuum) the carpet and upholstry, never had enough storage, was always having to get out from under the steering wheel to get to the front pedestal.I bought a Century 2101 Bay - center consol.I like it because of the walk around room, you can power wash it at any time, lots of storage, built in bait tank, and I can fish any where I could have with the bass boats.

#1. paid for, bought used in winter. gobs more value #2. versatility- fish 3' deep in local lakes, or go 50 miles offshore for the "real-man" fish. #3. as said before, center console #4. T-top, awesome for the summer sun #5. glad I spent the $$ on good color electronics/gps #6. adequate fuel burn. getting roughly 2.2-2.5 mpg on a 22' V-hull w/ a 175 evinrude ficht.
downside costs a small fortune to fill it up need a bow-mount t/m not enough storage
still love my boat and I don't see getting a new one for at least 5-7 years

I used to have a Cajun 18 foot center console, now I have a 12 foot kayak. My favorite aspect: the gas mileage.

paid for would be first on my list. 2. would be nice color depth finder with gps. 3. would be really big trolling motor (don't have this one yet)
If money wasn't a major factor, I'd love to have a bigger boat than my current 17.5 footer but I would say get the biggest boat you can afford but don't forget fuel. Those big motors can really cost you alot more on fuel both to run and tow.

I fish the coast and offshore mostly. My rule get a boat that no matter how bad the weather you can be safe where you fish and get home safe. Ive been in bad storm in the bay and came close to losing boats leason learned. Last year the fastest developeing hurricane himberto hit me when I was offshore on a two day trip, no where to run just hunker down and ride it out. Haha still here 30ft cat keep my but alive. Other than that good CHART PLOTTER/GPS/SONAR.
