Will never own another bass boat without one especially a boat with a motor over 150 HP. But be sure to put a remote trim and jack plate adjust(if Hyd JP installed) on the steering wheel with the HotFoot. Remember the idea is to keep both hands on the steering wheel so if you are having to reach for the throttle/shift lever to trim the motor you negate the main safety purpose of the HotFoot.

When I was looking for boats in 2006, that was a must have feature, the hot foot. Luckily it has the blinker style trim also. Won't get another boat without them, unless by then they have integrated mind control steering and trim. LOL!

I like mine... I wouldn't own another boat with out one Just be carefull when you get in another boat without a hotfoot. I am in the habbit of throwing my shift lever all the way foward, then applying the fuel with my foot, well I got in my stepdad's boat (no hotfoot) and put it in gear like I always do and about threw him out of the boat I would have paid money to see the look on both of your faces! Hopefully no one was seriously injured, but that is funny! I have a 115hp on my little boat, and it goes 45mph on a good day, so I don't have one, but if I ever get another (larger, faster) boat, I'll definately get one for all the reasons mentioned above.

I dont think new boats will come without them from now on... that and a keel guard are a must
